The Urbana Arts & Culture Commission works to celebrate and nurture the City of Urbana’s cultural and artistic diversity by building creative public spaces and showcasing the City of Urbana as a thriving destination for arts and culture.
The nine-member volunteer commission represents various segments of the community and has the experience, expertise, and/or interest in the areas of the arts, arts education, planning, neighborhood organizing, event planning, business, or in another related field. Members are chosen from a diverse range of backgrounds, occupations, and artistic realms to reflect the full diversity of the Urbana arts community.
The Arts & Culture Commission meets the second Tuesday of each month at 4:30 p.m. in the Urbana City Council Chambers at 400 South Vine Street. Meetings are open to the public.
