Friday, May 1, 2026
5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Urbana City Council Chambers, 400 South Vine Street
The ARTF Community Engagement Event is an opportunity for the community to provide LEAP, elected and appointed officials, City staff, and others with feedback, perspectives, and ideas about alternative responses to public safety. Community input will help LEAP develop a practical and community-informed alternative response model.
Hear about our progress and make your voice heard on the future of alternative response to public safety in Urbana. The Law Enforcement Action Partnership (LEAP) will facilitate the discussion.
How Can the Public Participate?
The Community Engagement Event is open for public attendance and participation. Members of the public may record the Event as long as it does not interfere with others’ ability to see or hear the discussion. Check online for an agenda from any recent City Council Regular Meeting or Committee of the Whole for important information on how to share email, verbal, and written input. For more information on public input, please contact the City Clerk’s Office at least 48 hours in advance by: (1) phone: 217-384-2366; (2) email: CityClerk [at] urbanail.gov (CityClerk[at]urbanail[dot]gov); or (3) in-person during normal business hours. Urbana City Hall, Council Chambers, and the IMC are accessible.
Please also consider attending the next ARTF Stakeholder Session (#6) on Thursday, April 30 from 3:30 - 5 p.m. at the Independent Media Center (IMC).
