The Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) has the power and duty to hear and decide all matters referred to it by the provisions of the Zoning Ordinance, including conditional use requests, minor variances, and major variances of the Zoning Ordinance. Major variances are forwarded to the City Council for approval.
Zoning Board of Appeals Members
The Zoning Board of Appeals shall consist of seven (7) members, including the Chair, all of whom shall be residents of the City of Urbana. All members shall be appointed by the Mayor, subject to confirmation by the City Council.

Zoning Board of Appeals Meetings
Regular meetiongs of the Zoning Board of Appeals shall be held on the third Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at 400 South Vine Street. A list of the current year's meetings is attached below.
