Home Rehabilitation Grants

The City of Urbana has various home rehabilitation grants available to residents who qualify based on income. These grants include:

  • Emergency Repair Grants
  • Emergency Roof Repair Grants
  • Emergency Sewer Repair Grants
  • Accessibility Grants

Please see the brochure at the bottom of this page for an overview of current programs. Full details on each program are available in the Housing Rehabilitation Program Manual, also available below. Please note that to be eligible for an emergency grant, needed repairs must be addressing an immediate health or safety issue. 

Current income limits are included in an attachment below. Households must be within no more than 80% of the Area Median Income.

Other Community Resources Available

Other resources available in the community to assist Urbana residents may be found by calling 211, which is funded through the United Way of Champaign County.

The Champaign County Regional Planning Commission (CCRPC) Community Services Division is a Community Action Agency supporting the well-being and quality of life of residents who are at risk, have low incomes, and are underserved. 

The CCRPC provides effective and meaningful services to increase residents’ self-sufficiency and is committed to efficient services through regional leadership in interagency cooperation. For more information about the various services CCRPC provides, see the website.
